Solo Ocean Rowing Boat
This boat was designed for Charlie Pitcher to take part in the open class in the Woodvale Challenge Atlantic Ocean Rowing Race 2009. It is a new radical design and could be the next generation of ocean rowing boats...only time will tell...
We can report however that Charlie won the Atlantic race overall as a solo competitor beating all the pairs and fours boats!
Southern Ocean Rowing Boat
This boat was designed and built for Olly Hicks in an attempt to circumnavigate the Southern Ocean.
Cross Atlantic Kite Boat - 'Little Murka'
'Little Murka' was built in 2005 for Dom Mee www.dommee.co.uk Dom was attempting to cross the North Atlantic, from St John's, Canada to Exmouth, Devon powered only by kites.
Unfortunately 2005 was the worst hurricane season on record and Dom endured hurricanes Irene, Katrina, Maria, Ophelia and finally Rita. Dom had to be rescued, and unfortunately Little Murka broke away from the towing line and was lost at sea....
....In August 2006, she was washed up on Malin Head, County Donegal in Ireland after spending 11 months drifting at sea. The only item that was saved from the boat, amazingly, was the last video tape recording of Dom and 'Little Murka'.
